SCHOOL GRADE FALLS
MOUNT ROSKILL DECREASE Mount Roskill School, to return to its original grading, will have to receive the attendance of children from the Mount Roskill district who are attending the Royal Oak and Brixton Road schools. The advisory inspector to the Auckland Education Board made this report to the board this morning. lie said that, for Mount Roskill to hold its grade, its average attendance must be 481. As it was, Mount Roskill School, including its side school, had an average attendance in the pjjist term of only 417. its total attendance being 470. Several teachers had had .to be removed because of the fall in grade. Another teacher was due for removal. The inspector’s recommendation that transfers to Mount Roskill of 45 Mount Roskill children at Royal Oak, and 14 below Standard 111. at Brixton Road, was adopted by the board.
