CAR AND CYCLE COLLIDE

ACCIDENT AT RUNCIMAN An Auckland motor-cyclist, Mr. John Bowden, of Essex Street, Mount Eden, was injured in a collision with a motor-car at the corner of the Great South Road and the Waiuku Road at Runciman late yesterday afternoon. Mr. Bowden was on his way back to Auckland, and the car, which was driven by Mr. D. Hull, of Waiuku, was going toward Waiuku. The collision occurred on the corner, Mr. Bowden being thrown on to the road and having his leg broken. He was brought in to the Auckland Hospital by the St. John Ambulance, and his condition is reported to be satisfactory.
