EPIPHANY DEFEATED (From Our Own Correspondent J WAIUKU, Today. Playing at Waiuku yesterday, Epiphany was beaten by a representative team from, the Franklin Hockey Association, by three goals to one. The match was fairly even throughout. Franklin scoring two of its goals in the first half. Epiphany scored spectacularly from a corner early in the second half and soon afterwards Franklin scored again. Smith and Cooper both played excellent games for Franklin. Mr. C. J. Hodgkinson and Mr. Hall were referees UNIVERSITIES BEATEN Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, Today. In a match played yesterday between the combined Universities’ teams now visiting Christchurch for an inter-university tournament, and a Canterbury representative team, Canterbury won by 2 goals to 0.
