WAIRARAPA GOLF TITLES

WIN FOR T. H. HORTON Press Association MASTERTON, Monday. The final of the Wairarapa golf championship was decided today on the Lansdowne links in ideal weather. T. H. Horton, Masterton, defeated R. Wagg, Lower ITutt, 1 up. Tile driving of both players was good, Wagg having a very slight advantage, but the putting of both was exceptionally weak. Taken as a. whole the golf was not up to championship standard and not equal to the performances in the semi-finals. The first five holes were halved. Horton won the sixth and seventh, and the next six were halved. Wagg won the fourteenth and fifteenth, and Horton won the sixteenth, making him 1 up. The last two holes were halved.
