TE AROHA PROTESTS (From Oyr Own Correspondent) TE ABO HA, Saturday. The increased hospital levy discussed at the meeting of the re Aroha Borough Council. It was. stated that the levy foi the borough this year had been fixed at £575 12s lOd. Other levies were; Morrinsville £SOO 4s 4d, Te Kuiti £ 4S,S. 19s lUd. The town clerk said that there had ben a decrease in the le\y for coun tie" and an increase for boroughs to the extent of £1.021 for which Te Aroha had to find £2O t>s _d. The Mayor, Mr. R. Coulter, said that within the last few years the cost per annum had increased enormously and lie thought it high time that Te Aroha had direct representation on the board. There was not even a fret ambulance for this district, v hereas the board had erected hospitals at both Huntly and Matamata. No action was taken.
