HORSE VAN ON FIRE
A motor-van used for carrying racehorses, owned by Mr. N. Cunningham, the Ellerslie trainer, caught fire on the Great South Road near Penrose about seven o’clock on Saturday evening. It was empty at the time, and the Ellerslie Fire Brigade put the flames out before much damage was done.
