REMUERA TOURNAMENT IDEAL PLAYING CONDITIONS Under perfect weather conditions the Auckland Hockey Association held its annual Teams First Day Tournament at Remnera this afternoon. The programme consisted of knockout matches from senior to fifth grade, ancl several athletic events. The first game began at 1.15 and others followed at intervals of 15 minutes. The tournament officials for the- day were: Secretary, Mr. E. J. Hewatt; judges, Messrs. R. Avery, L. Winks, G. Surman; starters, Messrs, rl. Watts. G. Peace; call stewards, Messrs. W. Gillespie, A, M. Burton, F. Catt. Results: SECOND GRADE FIRST ROUND Mount Eden A 1, Wesley B 0. Papatoetoe 3, Mount Eden 0. University 3, Training College B 0. Somerville A 3, Training College A 0. FIFTH GRADE FIRST ROUND Somerville 3. Auckland Grammar B Auckland Grammar A 1, Mt. Albert Grammar B 0. Mt. Eden A 2, Mt. Albert Grammar A 0. ATHLETIC EVENTS The results of the sports events were as follow: 1 0 0Y d s Senior (Cremorne Cup).— First heat: Chappell (Wesley), 1; Welbourne (Mount Eden), 2; Edwards (Somerville), 3. Second heat: Jones (Mount Eden), I: H. Broun (St. Duke’s), 2; Williams (St. Duke’s), 3. Third heat: E. Watts (Somerville), 1; Gardiner (Otahuhu), 2; D. Jenkins (Mount Eden), 3. Final: E.
