Tennis RE.MU ERA CLUB j Tlie sound financial position of the | club was the subject of eulogistic comment by the president of the Remuera Lawn Tennis Club. Mr. E. W. Griffiths, at last evening's annual meeting. Me made special reference to the winning of women’s and men’s singles championships of New Zealand by Miss Macfarlane and E. L. Bartleet respectively, and the success of the club's junior players, B. Brownlee and R. S. Milne, at the recent tournament in Wellington. The election of officers resulted as follows: President, Mr. J£. W- Griffiths: vice-presidents, Messrs. E. Tonks, T>. G. Macfarlane: hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr. A. W. THE ONEHUNGA CLUB At the annual meeting of the One- j hunga Lawn Tennis Club, Mr. Malcolm Robb presiding, the annual report stated that the membership totalled 195, including four life members, 95 women and 68 men and 28 honorary. The chairman referred to the excellent financial position of the club, which was largely due to the generosity of Mr. G. M. Fleming in giving the ground for six courts.
