Burned to Death In Lonely Shanty

NONAGENARIAN KILLED OVERCOME BY SMOKE (Special to THE SUN) WAIHI, Today. Some time last night Hercules H. G. Brinkley, aged 90, was burned to death in a shanty at Whangamata. He was an old-age pensioner, and had been living alone in the shanty for spme time. He had not enjoyed good health. It is believed that the old man had either overturned a lamp, or that his bedclothes had caught fire, and that he was overcome by the smoke, and unable to call for help.
