BORROWED PLUMES
In an attractive little studio on the third floor of the Dilworth Buildings there has recently been opened a novel business, or at least a business with a novel branch. Here fancy costumes are hired out to folk who, perhaps deciding at the last moment to go to a fancy dress dance, are in a dilemma as to what to wear—but that is not a.ll. If one is going to an ordinary dance or party and is rather tired of the frocks one’s own wardrobe contains, this original company wall hire out a new gown with a cloak and shoes to match—and all for the most nominal fee.
AN ENGAGEMENT The engagement is announced between Miss Kathleen Capel Oliver, daughter of Mrs. W. A. Oliver, of Wartle, Matangi, and Mrs. Douglas McCaw, son of Mr. and Mrs. John McCaw, of Ardwell River Road, Hamilton.
