Eles, of Auckland, who l as been in Hamilton this week as judge of the art section of the Hamilton Show, has returned to Auckland. Miss I*. R.eid and Miss E. Matthews, of Auckland, are the guests of Mrs. R. Madill in Hamilton. * * * Mrs. W. Jeffery, of Te Awamutu, is visiting her mother in Pahiatua. Miss Molly Valder, of Tauranga, is visiting her mother, Mrs. H. Valder. in Claudelands. Miss A. Fell, of Tauranga, is also Mrs. Valder's guest. BRIDGE PARTY Mrs. T. X. Pemberton gave a very enjoyable bridge party on Wednesday afternoon at her home in Hinemoa, to assist the candidature of the Whitior • queen, Mrs. S. D. Pinfold. Autumn leaves and violets were the decorations of Mrs. Pemberton’s drawing room. Her dainty frock was of grey charmeuse and cream lace. Those present were: Mrs. T. A. Burtenshaw, Mrs. F. Quickly the vide j verandah was prepared for dancing, and the drawing room for bridge. ?Irs. Storey was wearing a frock of o’ack | satin. Miss Mabel Jones was in a | frock of corn coloured georgette and j lace. i After supper, Mrs. Storey asked Miss Jones to accept a coffee set from her friends who were present.
