\ LTHOUGH yet very young, Len Clapham, wno won the Auck- ! land Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club’s one and a-half mile steeplechase last Saturday, is proving a most promising runner. Saturday he and McNeil had a neck-and-neck race practically all the way and breasted the tape together. I The race was • awarded to Claphan?, however, on account of unintentipnal interference by McNeil in the final dash up the straight.
