OLD PUPILS STAGE A DANCE

KOWHAI ASSOCIATION Held in the gaily decorated Penrith j Tearooms in Karangahape Road, the ; second of the Kowliai Old Pupils Asso- j ciation’s popular monthly dances held on Saturday was a particularly delightful function. The members of the association’s commitee contributing to the success of the dance were: Aliss D. Read, Aliss F. Brooking, and Alessrs. B. E. Rudman, .T. E. Johnson, R. AlacGregor, R. Smith, D. MacGregor, L. Solorr. Hal Turner’s Carltonian Orchestra was in attendance, and supplied excel- i lent music. Among those present were: Arrs. Sobbley, in a pale pink frock, with silver uneven hem. Airs. Paterson, wearing flame georgette and silver, with a silver shawl. Airs. Boyce, who chose lilac crepe de chine, with a Spanish shawl. Ariss D. Read, in black ring velvet, and diamante trimming. Aliss Fay Brooking, in apple green tatfeta, with an uneven hem, and a large bow at one side. Atiss L. Eecles, who wore apricot chenille georgette and tulle. Miss Edna Elliot, in apricot crepe de chine and lace. Aliss Nancy Semple, gold crepe de chine. Aliss Ella Anderson, green georgette and silver tinsel. Aliss Xoella Hinchcliffe, flame crepe de chine, and black shawl. Aliss A. Evans, cornflower blue crepe de chine, and crystal beads. Aliss Alaggie Constable, sea blue crepe de chine, with shawl to match. Aliss Phyllis Herald, pink velvet, with brilliants. Aliss Vera Woods, rose and silver laffeta frock. Aliss Doris Longville, in black georgette, with uneven hem. , Aliss Billy Grace, cuban orange crepe de chine. Aliss R. Gumming, lemon georgette, beaded in silver. Aliss J. E. Johnson, sea green satin beaute with rhinestone embroidery. Aliss Doi'Otby Rich, period frock of sunset taffeta and Spanish shawl.
