STORM IN AUSTRALIA
ACCIDENTS CAUSED IN SYDNEY STREETS STEAMERS BATTERED Reed. 9.45 a.m. SYDNEY, Today. Yesterday's terrific rain was responsible for a fatal car accident and a serious lorry smash, in which four persons were injured. A number of mishaps occurred in the city and suburbs. Electrical accidents due to the cyclonic weather caused block-outs in many suburbs. Steamers on the Sydney-Melbourne route were violently battered and seriously delayed by heavy seas.
