In the tennis championship quarterfinals, Gregory and Collins (Britain) beat Boussus and De Buzelet (France), 6—3, 3—6, 6 —2, 6 —3; Tilden and Hunter (United States) beat Von Kehrling and Kleinschroth (Germany), 3 —6, 6 —3, 6 —l, 6—l. In the third round of the mixed doubles Gregory and Mrs. Watson heat Boussus and Fraulein Aussem, 6—4, 3 —6, 6 —3; G. Collins and Miss Goldsack beat J. Borotra and Senorita de Alvarez, 3 —6, 6—l, 6—3. In the women’s semi-finals Mile. Bouman and Senorita de Alvarez beat Mrs. Watson and Miss Eileen Bennett, the holders, 6—-3, 2 —6, 6—3; Miss Heine and Mrs. Eeave (South Africa), beat Mrs. Mathieu and Mrs. Da Faurie, 11—9, 6—l.
