DISASTROUS FIRE
£BO,OOO DAMAGE DONE IN SYDNEY BIG BUILDING GUTTED
Reed. 9.50 a.m. SYDNEY, Today. As a result of a fire in the early morning, only the skeleton remains of the live-storey building of United Distributors in the city. The damage is estimated at £BO,OOO. A valuable stock of wireless accessories was destroyed. The flames were fanned by a strong wind, and presented an imposing spectacle. With alarming rapidity the blaze spread over the Occidental Hotel, where the guests became panicky.
