USE OF N.Z. LINSEED OIL Among the varied products of New Zealand’s manufacturing industries, one of the least known, yet one of the most important, is the production of linseed oil for painters and tho corresponding production of linseed oilcake as a food for live stock. The reasons why New Uealanders should buy New Zealand linseed oil. in particular, are as follow: It mean.* . the retention and circulation in the j country of £IOO,OOO a year. It mean--1 that the farmers have an additional 'crop to grow'. It means additions! revenue for our railways and our | coastal steamers. It means additional employment created by the manufa*j turing and the distribution. It mear..- ! the production of linseed oilcake, th • • I best cattle food and milk producer ‘at present known. Every ton of oilcake fed to our dairy cows means increased production of butter ana cheese, and our exports are increased accordingly. Every extra ton of butter exported an additional £l7' for circulation in the country. By properly feeding our stock, the exports of butter and cheese could be increased bv £5,000.000 a year. * Mr. Thomas Bailey, of Auckland 1 stated recently: "We have been using ! ‘Moose’ Oil to the exclusion of all im- ' ported‘brands for some time, and wo ! are convinced that it is the best o;l I that we can possibly employ in the j New Zealand painting trade.”
