Big Treble
NORTHERNS AND CORNWALL
The Great Northern Hurdles, Great Northern Steeplechase, and the Cornwall Handicap are the three big events to be decided at the Auckland R.C. winter meeting on June 1, 3 and 5. The hurdles and Cornwall are run on the first day and the Steeplechase on the second day. There have been very few withdrawals to date, and the indications at present are that splendid fields will contest the treble. Acceptances lor these events, as well as others carded for the first day, are due to
close on Friday, May 24, and with the Wanganui fixture yet to be decided it will not be until the end of next week before we can obtain an idea of what horses are likely to be brought North.
The horses remaining in the three principal events are as follow: GN - Steeplechase Cornwall Hdcp.
