MYSTERY DEEPENS
PRINCE HUMPHREY PUZZLE THIRD HORSE INVOLVED (United P.A.—By Telegi'aph — Copyright) SYDNEY, Wednesday. . An investigation of the facts concerning the pedigree or the A.J.C. Derby winner, Prince Humphrey, which it has been claimed is really that of a horse named Cragsman, discloses further puzzling features involving third horse. It is stated that according to a printed catalogue a very poor performer named Royal Brew, racing at Sydney until recently, has brands or marks closely resembling those claimed for Cragsman. Mr. Mackenzie, former owner, described Cragsfhan’s brands as an inverted V over B on the near shoulder, and the figures 5 over 144 on the near hindquarter. These brands are identical with those given for Royal Brew, which is described as a bay colt by Duke Humphrey from Maltress.
