TEACHES WORLD A LESSON So many and varied have been the tales told of the Scot and his “saspence,” that it is hard to believe an Aberdeen journal, when it says that Aberdeen has taught the world a lesson on generosity. But the journal goes on to show that not only has Lord Provost Lewis obtained in the short space of two years the £400,000 he set out to raise for his Joint hospital Fund, but he has exceeded that amount by £7,200. As the Lord Provost puts it, th e greatest Aberdeen story has now been told.
