RESCUED FROM RIVER

LAD’S PROMPT ACTION TWO BOYS FALL OFF WHARF (Special to THE SUN) OPOTIKI, Wednesday. Prompt action on the part of Clarence Taylor, a 14-year-old lad, saved two small boys from being drowned in the Otara River today. The boys were playing on the wharf when they fell into the river. Without stopping to remove his clothing the lad Taylor jumped in to the water and with considerable difficulty brought the children to the bank. There was no one else about at the time and the boys would undoubtedly have been drowned if Taylor had not acted as he did.
