A Country Bride with Dainty Maids

Rainbow Colours For Their Frocks RICHARDSON— MURDIE St. James's Angrliean Church, Rangataua, was the scene of a prettv wedmng last week, when the church had been specially decorated for the marriage of Evelyn, the eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs. T. R. Murdie, and Bernard Hubert, only son of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Richardson. The Rev. J. H. Datson officiated and Mrs. W. Fraser was at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of shell pink crepe de chine, with diagonally-tucked bodice and skirt, and panels of autumntinted silk flowers. Her embroidered veil was finished with a fan effect, and held in place with a coronet of pearls and orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of asters, gladioli, chrysanthemums and maidenhair fern. The bride’s cousin, Miss Ena Murdie. of Ohakune, attended her, and wore a frock of mauve crepe de chine, trimmed with silver lace, with a posy at the shoulder and a silk net bandeau, and carried a bouquet of chrysanthemums and autumn flowers. Other attendants were Miss Madge Murdie, who was dressed in powder blue crepe de chine, inset with cream lace, with a posy at the shoulder and silk net for the head-dress, and carried a bouquet of autumn flowers. Miss Bernice Richardson, sister of the bridegroom, in lemon crepe de chine, panelled with silver lace, and caught with a posy on the shoulder. She wore a net bandeau, and carried a bouquet of autumn flowers. Mr. I. TV. Murdie, brother of the bride acted as best man, and Messrs. J. Ellis and W. Erb as groomsmen. After the ceremony a reception was held at Svnott’s Tea Rooms. The room and the tables were decorated with autumn flowers. Mrs. Murdie, mother of the bride, wearing a dress of powder blue repp, with hat to tone, and black fox furs, and carrying a bouquet of chrysanthemums, heather and maidenhair fern, .received her many guests, among whom were the following: Mrs. Young (National Park), dressed in black satin and ermine furs.
