GROWING SALES IN ENGLAND During the year 192 S New Zealand's exports of honey into Great Britain and Xorthern Ireland exceeded by over * 40 per cent, those of any other coun- I try, according - to the latest quarterly report of the New Zealand Honey Control Board. The association’s membership shows an increase from 1,157 in January, to ! 1,198 at the end of April. NORTHERN DAIRYING BIG INCREASE IN OUTPUT The total pay-out. for the two companies operating in the Xorthern Wairoa district, the Ruawai and Xorthern Wairoa Companies, for the season to the end of April was £350,620, an increase of £72,795. The total output for tlie .season to date is 2,525 tons, an increase of 446 tons for the season. The output of butter from the Ruawai ! Co-operative Dairy Company’s factory !in April was 421 tons, against 30 tons 3cwt for April, 1928. The output for ! the season to April 30 was 690 tons lOcwt, j against 475 tons lacwt lor the corres- | ponding period in 1928, in increase of 214 tons locwt. i The pay-out for last month’s supply I was £5,621 11s 6d, and for April, 1.925, j £3,866 7s 2d. The total pay-out for the : 1929 season to date is £90,950 3s 6d, against i £58,716 11s, a record in the history of | the company. | The Raglan Co-operatice Dairy Comj pany, Limited, is paying Is 4d a lb superj fine for April cream supply. Payments 1 to date amount to £38,510, compared with £29,205 for the corresponding period last j year. The butter manufactured this j season amounts to 317 tons, against 266 tons last season, an increase of about 21 per cent. The manager of the Raglan factory, Mr. F. V. Stewart, won the Armour Cup at the Whangarei Show for the best box of butter.. This is the fourth occasion on which he has won a first prize for buttei picked at random from the grading stoves.
