BOMBAY DEBATING SOCIETY

The annual meeting of the Bombay Literary and Debating Society was presided over by Mrs. S. Burgess. The balance-sheet revealed a credit of £2 14s 5d on the year’s working* The membership had increased by 21. Twelve meetings held during the session proved most successful.

Officers elected were: Presided Mrs. Burgess; vice-presidents, the Rev Belshaw, Messrs. A. Ingram, R. Donff van and A. Best; secretary* Mr. F. * Wooten; treasurer. Mr. C. Darby; com' mittee. Misses M. Proude, Creedon, Messrs. W. D. Teesdale, J. B. McKinney and Roberts.
