UNION RUGBY
SOUTH AUCKLAND AFFAIRS MEETING OF EXECUTIVE (From Our Oxen Correspondent) PUKEKOHE, Monday. A meeting of the South Auckland Rugby Union was held today. Delegates present were: Messrs. J. Dean (president). P. A. Hillary (.Franklin), C. Lauer, J. P. Rae (Pukekohe)), and S. Wilson (Manukau). The Waiuku and the Waikare Sub-Unions were not represented. The Thames Union advised that June 1 would be an unsuitable date for the return match with the union, and it was agreed to ask it to select some other date. The clearance granted by the Waikare Sub-Union to G. E. Carter from Waikare to Varsity was endorsed. It was decided to commence the inter-club sub-union matches on July 13. A third grade competition is to be included, the trophy for which the president offered to donate. The weight and age limits were fixed at lOst and 20 years.
