ORGAN RECITAL

The city organist. Mr. Maughan Barnett, gave a recital in the Town Hall last evening, the programme including chorale variations. “Lord Christ, Thou Art the Heavenly Light” (Bach); “Andante Espressivo” (Sullivan), from an orchestral symphony produced at the Crystal Palace in 1866; Serenade (Schubert-Liszt): Intermezzo, Adagio and Marche Pontiticale (Widor); Evensong (Johnston) and Fanfare (Faulkes). The organ recitals will be given every Sunday evening until further notice.
