ALLOTTED BY UNION TAUPIRI AND THAMES j Press Association WELLINGTON* Today. Mementos of the 1924 New Zealand Rugby team’s tour include several handsome cups. Two of these came from Canada, one being presented by Mr. L. D. Taylor and the other by the people of Vancouver. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Rugby Union decided that they be allocated for competition, the Vancouver Cup to be a trophy for senior competition in the Taupiri SubUnion of the Auckland Union, and the Taylor Cup to be competed for by the primarj r schools of the Thames Valley Rugby Union. RANFURLY SHIELD FIXTURES DRAWN UP WELLINGTON, Today. According to the list of fixtures drawn up by the New Zealand Rugby Union, the first match for the Ranfurly Shield will probably be Wairarapa v. Hawke’s Bay, on July 20. Other qhallengers are Auckland, Wellington, Manawhenua, Canterbury, Southland and Otago. During the meeting today Mr. A. A. Adams, president of the Rugby Union, made a special appeal on behalf of the Wes-t Coast for representative matches, and he also stated that visits by leading clubs would also be of great assistance to those carrying on the Rugby Union game in that part of the Dominion. Auckland delegates agreed that if one of the other unions in the South Island would forgo a match with Auckland on its next Southern tour, a visit would be paid to the West Coast
