YOUTH BADLY INJURED

ACCIDENT WHILE RABBIT SHOOTING IN SERIOUS CONDITION (From Our Own Correspondent) HAMILTON, Tuesday. A severe injury to the left temple was received by John Adamson, of Onewheroi aged IS, in a shooting accident at Matamata on Sunday. Adamson, James Kelly, and another youth were out shooting rabbits. Kelly and Adamson were walking down a hill when Kelly put down the .22 bore Winchester rifle he was carrying and. turned round to speak to Adamson, who was a yard or two behind him. As the rifle struck the ground the charge was exploded and the bullet entered Adamson’s left temple. The youth was removed to the Matamata Hospital arid brought to the Waikato Hospital this afternoon for an X-ray examination. His condition is serious.
