BOXING ON JUNE 3
The match which the Northern Boxing Association has been endeavouring to arrange between Tommy Donovan, of Waitara, and Matt Hatton, of Auckland, has fallen through owing to Donovan finding it impossible to come here on account of other engagements. In his place Joe Boyle has been engaged to meet Hatton at the Town Hall on June 3. He arrived in Auckland this morning and is expected to commence training at the city fire station this evening. The second bout between Frank Taylor and Cyril Hurne, of Wellington, has not yet been definitely finalised. Hurne raised a difficulty and the association is awaiting a reply to tne communication sent regarding it. It is expected that the second bout will be finalised in a day; or two,
