MORE ALLOWANCES MADE Press Association WELLINGTON, Friday. The Public Service Superannuation Board met yesterday, Mr. J. W. Macdonald presiding. Thirty-six contributors who had retired by reason of age or length of service were granted allowances of a total of £8,493 a year, and five contributors who had retired as medically unfit were granted allowances totalling £389 a year. In two cases consideration was postponed, and one application for an additional allowance on account of retirement through injuries received while on police duty was declined. Twelve widows and 12 children were granted the statutory allowance, amounting to £684 a year.
