TAXI-DRIVERS INJURED

TYRE-RIM FLIES OFF (Prom Our Own Corrcspondent) WHANGAREI, Today. An extremely painful accident happened to two taxi drivers, R. D. McKenzie and O. B. Mann, yesterday afternoon. They had changed a tyre which had a defective rim, and were inflating it when the rim flew out, striking McKenzie on the face, inflicting a wound which necessitated several stitches, and breaking his nose. His companion had the top of his left thumb severed, and the first finger badly lacerated. Alter medical attention both men were able to return to their homes.
