SCHOOL HOLIDAYS

A GENERAL sigh of relief went up all over the province this afternoon among the 60,000 school children in the primary and secondary schools of city and country when the first term of the year 1929 was brought to a close. The primary schools will be closed for a fortnight, and the secondary schools tor a day longer. . This evening and tomorrow a rush of holiday-makers from the city to the country, and an influx of country children to the city, is expected. The Auckland University College also closes tomorrow for the first term vacation of three weeks.
