GOSPEL OF THRIFT
REFORMERS REVIEW EVENT ONLY SOUND COURSE Press Association WELLINGTON, Today. At a meting of the Reform Party, the Hon. J. G. Coates gave a resume of the work the party had accomplished. Various beneficial enactments were referred to, and the opinion was expressed that, although the policy followed to restore financial stability, and the preaching of the gospel of hard work and thrift without extravagance in living. coupled with borrowing only for developmental work which would bring results, may not have made the late Government popular, the public would later realise that it was the only sound and safe course to pursue. Comments on events since the general election were made, and plans for the future referred to. Mr. Coates eulogised the late Mr. W. F. Massey, who had a truly Imperial outlook. A vote of confidence in Mr. Coates was passed, and the meeting decided to send a letter of remembrance to Dame Christina Massey on the anniversary of the former Prime Minister's death. rproin Yesterday’s Late F.Uitlon 1
