CAUGHT IN MACHINERY
(From Our Own Correspondent) PUKEKOHE. Tolay. To have the tliree middle fingers of his right hand severed, was the experience of Mr. William McNeil, of Puni. Shortly after mid-day Mr. McNeil, who is employed by the Franklin County Council, was engaged in tipping a lorry load of metal on Clark’s Road, Waiau Pa, his fingers became entangled in the machinery. The lorry driver. Mr. Alan, had dirficulty in extricating Mr. McNeil’s hand, and was aided by a passing lorry driver, Mr. W. McCormick. After receiving medical attention from Dr. L. J. Forman-Bull, he was transferred to the Auckland Hospital.
