Wind force indicated by figures. CANADIAN CONQUEROR.—The Canadian Conqueror is reported to have reached Quebec from Auckland last Monday. She sailed from Auckland on March 16. TAIN U I SAlLS.—Telegraphic advice states that the Shaw, Savill and/ Albion Company's liner Tainui left Wellington shortly after 7 a.m. today for Southampton and London, via Panama. MOOLTAN AT FREMANTLE. —The P. and O. liner Mooltan arrived at Premantle from London on Tuesday. The vessel is scheduled to reach Sydney next Thursday. PHORUS TOMORROW.—With bulk oil for the Shell Company the tanker Pliorus is expected to arrive from Tarakan, Borneo, tomorrow evening, according to a radio message received. She will berth at Western Wharf. VESTVARD FROM PORT ARTHUR.— The Norwegian motor-ship Vestvard sailed from Port Arthur, Texas, on April 28 with a full cargo of case oil for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, .Newcastle, Melbourne and Premantle. The vessel is reported to have reached Colon on May 4. She is due at Auckland about the end of this month. CANADIAN CHALLENGER DUE.— Having left Wellington at four o’clock on Tuesday afternoon the Canadian Challenger is due at Auckland this evening to complete loading general cargo for America and Canada. She is to be dispatched for New York, Boston and Montreal tomorrow. BEN HOLM DUE 4 P.M.—Further radio advice which has been received by the local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company states that the A. and A. Line’s chartered steamer Benholm is now expected to arrive in the stream at Auckland at 4 o'clock this afternoon from New York. She later berths at the Prince’s Wharf to unload the local portion of her cargo before proceeding to Wellington, Lyttelton ana Dunedin to complete discharge. ROTORUA FURTHER DELAYED.— The local office of the New' Zealand Shipping Company has been advised that the liner Rotorua has been further delayed and no*v leaves New Plymouth tomorrow for Auckland, where she is due on Sunday to continue her loading for Home. She berths at the Queen’s Wharf. Later the Rotorua proceeds to Tokomaru Bay, thence Gisborne, Lyttelton and Wellington to fill up, and is scheduled to sail finally from the latter port on May 25 for Southampton and London via Panama. TRANS-PACIFIC CARGO SERVICE. The Waikawa left Los Angeles on Tuesday and is due at Apia on May 24; at Melbourne on June S; and at Sydney on June 16.
The Waitemata left Levuka on April 24 for Vancouver, where she is due on May 15, and will proceed thence to San Francisco, Los Angeles, Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney. The Waihemo left Apia on May 5 for Vancouver, where she is due on May 25, and will proceed thence to San Francisco, Los Angeles, Napier, Lyttelton, Dunedin, New Plymouth and Bluff. The Hauraki w'ill leave "Wellington today for Melbourne and Adelaide, and return to Vancouver direct from Adelaide. The Waiotapu will leave Lyttelton today for Melbourne and Sydney, and return to Vancouver, via Fanning Island. The Wairuna, from Pacific Coast ports, arrived at Auckland yesterday, and will proceed thence today for Napier, where she is due on May 10, going thence to Lyttelton, Dunedin, Bluff and New Plymouth. TOFUA RETURNING.—Leaving Suva at noon today for Auckland, the local office of the Union Company expects the Island passenger steamer Tofua to arrive here next Monday morning. MIRO AT KING’S—Mr. C. E. Campbell reports that the Nobel Explosive Company’s ketch Miro, now at King’s Wharf discharging genera! cargo from Nelson, is to load explosives for Southern ports as soon as she has completed unloading. The Miro is to be dispatched about Monday next. SYDNEY STEAMERS.—The Marama leaves Auckland at 3 p.m. tomorrow for Sydney and the Maunganui sails from Wellington at the same time. The Ulimaroa clears Sydney at noon tomorrow for Auckland. All the three vessels are due at their arrival ports next Tuesday morning. RAISDALE FROM ANTWERP.—No wireless advice has boon received yet from the steamer Raisdale, which is expected at an early date with a full cargo of basic slag from Antwerp. The cargo is for discharge at Auckland and New Plymouth. The New Zealand Shipping Company is the local agent.
MAUI POMARE POSTPONED.—The Government motor-ship Maui Pomare, which arrived at Auckland this morning from Wellington, and was to sail at 5 p.m. on Saturday for Norfolk Island, has been postponed for at least a fortnight owing to engine trouble. Spedding, Limited, are the local agents. THE TARANAKI.—The Shaw, Savill and Albion motor-ship Taranaki, now in Australia, is scheduled to load at Bluff for England on May 17. She will also load at Timaru, Lyttelton. Wellington, Gisborne and Auckland. The vessel is due at Auckland on June 9 and she is to be dispatched for London, via Panama, three days later. PORT DARWIN TO COMPLETE.—Advice has been received that the C. and D. Line’s steamer Port Darwin leaves Gisborne on Saturday for Auckland, where she is due on Sunday to complete her loading under the agency of Heather, Roberton, Limited. The vessel is scheduled to sail finally from this port on Tuesday, May 14, for New York. Boston. Halifax and London, via Panar*a. SUSSEX LEAVES SOURABAYA.— Cable advice has been received by the local office of the Union Company that the chartered steamer Sussex, en route from Calcutta and ports, and which returned to Samarang on fire, left Sourabaya yesterday morning for- Auckland, where she is due on May 25. The vessel is bringing general cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lytteltond and Dunedin. baron belhaven sails tomorrow.—Discharging operations on the steamer Baron Belhaven will be completed sooner than expected, and the vessel is now scheduled to leave Auckland at daylight tomorrow for Wellington, where she lands the balance of her basic slag from Antwerp.
