TAKAPUNA BAND QUARTERS Although now in its sLxth year as an organisation, the Takapuna Municipal Band has no permanent practice or social room. Makeshift quarters have had to be endured, to the detriment of the band as a musical organisation. Efforts are being made, however. to remedy this state of affairs. ; not desirable to have bodies of people congregating on the lake watershed, i The letter requested that Takapuna ; should take up the matter with th« : neighbouring borough. It was resolved to approach Devoßj port for the use of the building. Takapuna agreeing to install sanitary conveniences in order to meet the objection raised by the senior borough. It was stated that the building would make an ideal practice room, and would go a long way toward i®* proving the band’s efficiency.
