BRILLIANT HACK

DOWN Taranaki way they have one of the smartest hacks in New Zealand. That is Richfield, a four-year-old gelding by Acre from Pergola, by Marble Arch from Caller Ou. His last appearance was at Feilding at Easter He was off the course most of the way, having drawn a bad marble in a fair field of hacks. This made no difference, for when his rider let • his head go Richfield hit the front in a few strides., and the boy had to pull him up to stop him winning too easily. Richfield is to make his appearance in the first division of the Telegraph Hack at Hawera tomorrow, and any price with him is a good price.
