STATE EXAMINATIONS AUCKLAND NURSE’S SUCCESS The highest marks in the State Maternity Nurses’ Examination, held recently, were gained by Miss Edith O’Kane, of St. Helen’s, Auckland. Following are the successful candidates for the Auckland District for both the State MAternity and State Midwifery examinations: State Maternity Nurses' Examination. Passed top for Dominion, O’Kane Edith (St. Helens, Auckland). Passed wUh lo per cent, and over: Cook, Annie (Kawakawa); Sterritt, Kathleen (St. Helens, Auckland); Harman, Mavis Alice Helens, Auckland); Milne, Alfrida (St. Helens, Auckland); Keith, Isabella S (Thames). The following candidates were also successful.—McKendrick, Pearl (St. Helens, Auckland); Watson, Prances AL (St. Helens, Auckland); Stenberg, Elizabeth A. (Whakatane); Gibson, Vivian F. (Opunake). The following candidate obtained a partial pass.—Peake, Ethel N (Te Puke). State Midwifery Examination.—Passed first for Dominion: Hagan, Joan (Whangarei); White, Agnes (St. Helens, Auckland). The following candidates passed with 75 per cent, and over: Hart, Ngaio (Whangarei): Duthie, Mary (Whangarei); Hussey, Doi'is W. (Whangarei); Hobson, Margaret E. (Whangarei): Fletcher, Jessie (St. Helens, Auckland); Swindail, Rita (St. Helens, Auckland): Kennedy, Hilda A. (St. Helens, Auckland): Bourke, Agnes M. (St. Helens, Auckland); Petersen, Ivy A.. Mrs. (St. Helens, Auckland): Delugar, Winifred (St. Helens, Auckland): Bartle, Jane M. (St. Helens, Auckland): Reid, Frances E. (St. Helens, Auckland): Civil, Gladys (St. Helens.
