FACTORIES COMPETITION - WEDDEL AND HARDLEY TROPHIES NGATEA FACTORY’S SUCCESS The results of the contests for the Weddel Cup and for the Hardley Shield for butter and cheese production respectively, which are competed for by the various dairy factories throughout the Auckland Province, have been announced to-day. The results are: Weddel Cup (butter). New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company. Ltd., Xgatea, 94.412 points-, 1; Pio Pio Dairy Company, 94.110 points, 2; Cambridge Dairy Company, 93.793 points. 3; Ruawai Dairy Company, 93.725 points, 4. Hardley Shield (cheese) .Waimana Dairy Company, 94.0-71 points, 1; Hauraki Plains Dairy Company, 93.174 points, 2; New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company, Ltd., Matamata, 93.059 points, 3; Toa Toa Dairy Company, 93.006 points, 4. The Hardley Shield competition was started in 1926 and this year the Waimana Dairy Company wins for the third time in succession, thus gaining the right to keep the shield. Last year the Weddel Cup competition, which was instituted in 1907, was won by Pio Pio, ana in 3 927 byf the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company.
