SINISTER MANIFESTO
HINDU REPUBLICANS’ PROGRAMME MURDER OF EUROPEANS (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) DELHI, Tuesday The editors of several newspapers, including the Englishman of Calcutta have received copies of a manifesto signed by one of the leaders of the bloodthirsty Hindustan Republican Socialist Army. The document outlines an Anarchist campaign to murder prominent Europeans and the formation of Bolshevik bauds in the Indian States. The writer refers to Russia as supplying revolvers with which every member of the Hindustan Republican Socialist Army will be able to assassinate at least three Europeans before being captured and hanged. He also refers airily to the blowing up of the European clubs “one fine Saturday.” The frontier war between the Shiahs and the Sunnis is practically at an end, and a truce has been proclaimed. The Shiahs’ demand for the return of their lands has been conceded. Twenty-five deaths resulted from fresh riots in the Bombay cotton mill areas. The application of the curfew law restored quiet.
