TRANSPORT BOARD NOTICE OF MOTION A move to dispense with the services of six members of the Transport Board is the latest of Mr. W. H. Murray’s aims. T_T E desires the City Council to apA point six other members in place of Messrs. George Baildon, A. J. Entrican, J. A. C. Allum, Geo. Ashley, E. J. Phelan, and M. J. Coyle. Mr. Murray’s move is outlined in the following message, which he has forward to The Sun for publication: “I hereby give notice that it is my intention to move, at the next meeting of the Auckland City Council, to

be held on Thursday, May 9, 1929, the

following motion: “ ‘That, in terms of the Auckland Transport Board Act, 1928, this council now resolve to, and hereby remove from membership of the Auckland Transport Board, Messrs. George Baildon, A. J. Entrican. J. A. C. Allum, Geo. Ashley, E. J. Phelan, and M. J. Coyle as the six members duly elected by the resolution of this council, a local authority within the meaning of the Act, and duly appointed as members of the Auckland Transport Board; and that this council shall, at a duly constituted meeting to be held not later than May 30, 1929, appoint six other members in their places, to hold office until the 31st day of May, 1931, subject to the provisions of the Auckland Transport Board Act, 1928.’ (Signed) “W.
