SHOT IN RIGHT ARM

FOOTBALLER INJURED ANOTHER ESCAPES NARROWLY (Special to THE SUN) PALMERSTON N., Monday. A member of the Kimbolton senior football team, S. Waugh, was preparing for a match at Rangiawahia on Saturday when a rifle was fired accidentally in the next room, the bullet sti-iking him in the right arm. Another footballer narrowly escaped being shot in th© head by the same discharge. The rifle had been left in the room after a parade of territorials. One of the players picked it up, unaware that it was loaded. Waugh received first aid, and was taken to a hospital at Feilding, where the bullet was removed.
