MANUFACTURERS’ POLICY

“Our policy is to stimulate the purchase of New Zealand-made goods first and Empire products second,” declared Mr. Findlay, secretary of the Auckland Manufacturers’ Association, yesterday, in reference to an ajppeal from th© Auckland Victoria League for support to the Empire shopping week proposed to be held during' the week in which May 24 falls. There had been no action taken to liis knowledge for observance of shopping week, but if the firms or the league approached the association the matter could be considered.
