NO PAY, NO VOTE

OPOTIKPS METHOD WITH DELINQUENTS SMALL POLL EXPECTED (From Our Own Correspondent) OPOTIKI, To-day. Voting in the county elections tomorrow is not expected to b© very large, as the council has decided to enforce the law* disqualifying for voting purposes those with rates unpaid for a period of not less than six months. This is the first time the disqualification has been enforced, in Opotiki county. At present there is a very large amount outstanding in rates, and quite a number of ratepayers have paid up to avoid disqualification.
