CAMBRIDGE, To-day. FAVOURABLE weather greeted trotting enthusiasts who found their way to the convincing ground of the Cambridge Trotting Club at Cambridge to-day. The attendance was large and the track provided good going. Results are:—

The meeting opened auspiciously for backers, the favourite, Special Bell, who carried £340, winning nicely from Paradigm, who was second choice with £274. Elego and Wild Downs went out fast, but when the field had settled down passing the stand Nelson Girl had ran to the front and was pacemaker to Special Bell. Paradigm, Elego, Wild Downs and Te Ngutu. Wild Downs and Sweet Memory improved their positions while racing down the back, afid this was the only material change iri the order. Sweet Memory put in a splendid run crossing tho top, and by the time the straight was reached she was two lengths in front, Special Bell, Paradigm and Te Ngutu being next. In the run home Sweet Memory interfered with Paradigm, who pulled on to the rails and made a hopeless attempt to get through and beat Special Bell, who finished in good style to win by a length. Times: 3.41, 3.41 4-5, 3.41. Winner trained by C. Schonn, Whangarei. Great Parrish was backed confidently in the Leamington Handicap, but at no stage of the race was he going like a winner. I-Ie carried support to the extent of £783. next in demand being Tawa King (£285) and Princess Betty (£215). the winner carrying £3 less. Moko Fly shot out from the start in striking fashion, and passing the stand he had command from Tawa King, Single Mint, Margaret Wallace, Lady Yvonne, with the favourite breaking badly. There was no change in the order of the first division as they raced down the back, but after Lady Yvonne there was a gap of six lengths back to Great Parrish, who was leading the remainder of the field. Single Mint ran in behind Moko Fly crossing the top, and at the home turn this pair were attended by Tawa King, with the rest having no chance. Moko Fly held his position in the run home to win comfortably by two and a-half lengths from Single Mint, who beat Tawa King by a length. Zealous was fourth, just in front of Great Parrish, Lady Yvonne and Moko Chief. The favourite spoilt his chance by breaking on occasions. Times: 2.52 1-5, 2.54 and 2.53 3-5. Winner trained by T. Nightingale, Onehunga. Marosa and Scandal were bracketed on the totalisator. Most money was found for High Sea in the President’s Handicap, the Ashhurst representative accounting for £579 of the pool, and the Marosa— Scandal bracket £507. Rockaway, sixth favourite, had £l6l against his name, returning close on double figures, as also did the second horse, Hohoro. Hori Dillon refused to strike a gait at the start, but Hohoro went out fast and led past the stand from Joe Aspro. Huon Grattan, High Sea and Rockaway. Turning into the back stretch Rockaway settled down to business in earnest and soon ran to the head of affairs, with Hohoro, Silver Link, High Sea, Benefice and Brutus following in that order. Nearing the home turn Rockaway was just a length clear of Holioro, who was four lengths ahead of High Sea and Regret, with Brutus leading the remainder of the field.
Rockaway held his own in the finish and scored by a length from Hohoro, who beat High Sea in easy fashion by five lengths. Uncle Bert was fourth, and then came Regret, Andover. Marosa and Benefice.
