A scries of four weekly lectures on “The Parables of Jesus” will be given by the Rev. C. IT. Laws, 8.A., D.D... in the Sunday School Union lecture room on Tuesday evenings.

Mortgagees bought in four properties at forced sales conducted by Samuel Vaile and Sons,*Ltd., yesterday. A fiveroomed dwelling on a section with a 60ft frontage in Onewa Road ; was taken by the mortgagee at £875. An eight-roomed one and a-half storeyed rough cast dwelling, 2 Bay View Road, Takapuna, was acquired by the mortgagee for £1,675. The mortgagee paid £965 for a five-roomed bungalow at 24 Bay View Road, Takapuna. The sum of £B4O was paid by the mortgagee for a five-roomed verandah cottage situated at the corner of Shaddock and Flower Streets, Eden Terrace.
