PAPATOETOE TOWN BOARD

Delegates representing the Papatoetoe Rugby- League, Rugby Union, and hockey clubs waited on the Papatoetoe Town Board last evening with reference to the allocation of playing areas for the ensuing season. Arrangements had previously been made to accommodate the Rugby Union and hockey codes with two grounds each, and a belated application from the League club necessitated a round-table conference. On the recommendation of the clerk, it was decided to ask the three clubs to make formal application for the grounds as follows: Rugby Union, 2; Rugby League. 1; and hockey, 1; and these would be granted under certain conditions. Mr. Dawe was appointed caretaker of the pavilion. The clerk was authorised to draw up conditions governing the allocation of the grounds.
