NEW LYNN’S MAYOR

MR. C. F. GARDNER INCREASES MAJORITY RESULTS OF OFFICIAL COUNT By a margin of 13 votes Mr. C. F. Gardner has been elected first Mayor of New Lynn. The official count, including declaration votes, indicates that he has increased his majority from nine to 13 over the next candidate, Mr. u O. Browne. The official results are: Mr. C. F. Gardner, 297; Mr. H. O. Browne, 284; Mr. W. h. Titchener, 254, and Mr. I. Hughes, 250. " The doubtful seat on the council has been settled by the official count which goes to Mr. C. A. Shanly 402, Mr. F. C. Calder being unsuccessful with 399 votes.
