FLIGHT ROUND WORLD
13,500 MILES, REFUELLING IN THE AIR LYON’S BOLD HAZARD (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) Reed. 9 a.m. WASHINGTON, Mon. Lieutenant Albert Hulse, with Captain Harry Lyon, of the Southern Cross, and four other internationallyknown aviators, plan to leave New York on the first clear day in September to fly around the world, 13,500 miles, refuelling in the air at 22 stations, of which teu are for emergency only. The details, which have been kept secret for over six months, are expected to he announced shortly. It is reported that the flight is backed for £IOO,OOO, and will cost approximately £77,000.
