FANCY-DRESS DANCE
PARTY FOR CHILDREN ’ A concert and fancy-dress dance for i children was held in the Te Rau-a-moa district hall last Wednesday evening;. The dance was most successful and the children enjoyed themselves thoroughly. Among the dancers in fancy dress were: Frank Bell, who represented a cowboy; George Bell, Robin Hood; Alec Heron, clown: Douglas McOnie, court page; Florence Heron, fairy princess; Irma Easy. Stars and Stripes; Emily Heron. Spanish Lady; I Jean Carnachan, patchwork; Lois : ifiveriss, rose; Kate Carnachan, Indian t squaw; Jean McOnie. primrose: Lydia 1 Dassler, Dutch girl; Bella Heron, J flower girl: Jean Heron, fruit salad; Annie Throll; Dutch girl: Hazel Everiss. ox-eye daisy: Mary Throll. evening star; Marjorie Burns, poppy: John Parkinson, Santa Claus; Noreen Hall, Stephen’s ink; Harold Dassler, sailor; Willie McOnie. cowboy; Harold McOnie. innkeeper; Leonard McOnie, Red I Indian. The proceeds of the function are to be used to purchase books as the nucleus of a school library.
